I know I shouldn't complain... because this site is incredibly helpful, especially for being free. But it just seems to work half the time for me. I often have trouble loading any page after the main page. Anyone else?? Or is it just my computer? |

No, it's not your computer or internet connection. The site slows down and times out often. This is the -nth thread on it. |

You will all have to be patient. We are working on it. Moderators also would have the same problems.
Thank you,

Can you possibly work on why i can't PM? I've inquired about it via email over a year ago on more than one occasion but have never received a reply.
Thanks in advance |

Sometimes it borders on unuseable.
And when it is really slow (which is now about 30% of the time), getting information, searching jobs is impossible. I've checked out other sites because of it.
No useable search function and 30 second page loading delays does not help bring new clientele.
Dave's is making itself vulnerable to competitors, IMO.
I could see the hagwon association opening up a site. Provide lightening fast servers. Fully functioning search options. Us ESLers may follow the job postings. If they dry up here, Dave's lucrative business could dry up.
Bigger fish have been fried.
(wow, five minutes later and this post has not been sent. I'll try again. Proves my point to a tee...) |

Remember, though, it's not free to the advertisers! I assume most people who come to the Korean forum at least, have used the website to find a job at one time or another.
Oddly enough, the KOREAN JOBS site loads, no problem, it's just the forums that gets bogged down. Strange.
And I wonder how the rest of the website handles visitors. Do the other forums slow down to a crawl at times? Or do they even have an interested population across the world to get traffic in the first place... |

I have alerted Dave. I wasn't aware of your problem. As far as the site, it's going to be slow for a couple of weeks or so (we won't give you an exact time, because we can't). We are working on different things at the moment. It is frustrating for moderators as well when the site is slow.
I mean, for example, Dimitri and I and Huhkyung have to delete posts
because people end up hitting the submit button three times because they are trying to make sure their posts are going through. At least, you are in the loop, and you know what is transpiring.
Let me know user if you can PM within some days.... If you are not able, alert me in this same thread.
Grazie mille tutti.... Desidero Andare Adesso.... Ciao! |

This is good news. It's seems to have gotten worse lately--even I get frustrated and do something else. |

Can you imagine having to mod when the board is like that? It isn't fun. I know that folks are working very hard to get the board changed. People can handle some days of discomfort. As my coach used to say, "No pain, no gain". |

YES - big problems with this site. I haven't been more actively involved since I joined because of it.
But, thanks for working on it. |
