After hooking up my Ipod 30gig Classic for no less than 6 hours it only charges about 40% of the way. Any ideas as to the cause?

Might need battery replacement. I've got an 80GB classic that's one year old and wondering when I'll need battery replacement. It's still going strong.

How old is your IPOD? How do you do battery replacement in Korea if it's the kind of IPOD you can't open yourself like the classic?

Looks like the solution (knock on wood) is to charge with a power adapter straight into an outlet without the usual sync.

I've got the same model and it's due to be changed. The charge (which never lasted that long anyway) is still considerable, but noticeably less than when I first got it.

A lot of CD stores sell the jacks to plug into wall-sockets; don't waste your money spending $50 at the Apple outlets for their overpriced crap. You plug your Ipod USB right into that, and you're good to go. It does take a lot longer to charge them up in this fashion, however.
