Homeplus are having a sale on certain foreign beers at the moment (I think today Friday might be the last day of this sale) and you can get 6 bottles of either Leffe, Lowenbru or Becks for 10,000 won.
I discovered this only last night myself. |

I went to a Homeplus last Sunday and was pleased with their selection as they have more than any store or bar I've seen in Korea. And they're good picks like glass bottles of Paulaner, Erdinger, and little stubbies of French lager. They have a lot more variety than I listed. Big foreign beer and liquor selection. |

they are very small bottles though - I thought about grabbing 6 last night - but looking at the size of the bottles - one bottle would be finished in 3 sips (5 minutes) |

The French stubbies are small but the others are normal sized and great value considering the normal retail price. |

Exactly. Not sure what Yesterday is on about--those are International standard 330ml bottles. |

Homeplus has a small Tesco French abbey brew that's in 25cc bottles. Maybe that's what he was talking about. |

I posted last winter about Homeplus' good selections, but also about the number of expired beers on their shelves (at least where I went). Check the dates. |

I like this cold dark brown glass bottle of Paulaner Salvator I'm sippin' on right now. It's high octane German beer. Going to have to make another trip to Seoul next month for more of this high quality product as it's not sold in local stores. |

Leffe, Lowenbru or Becks are all vile I couldn't find a nice selection of beer in korea, the best was probably heineken and that tastes like crap, and I did try the usual korean suspects like, Cass, OB, Hite and Max, but none took my fancy, but I did find that cass was quite gassy |
