Don't know about you but I'm trying to use my time over here constructively as there's no jobs when I get back to "glorious" En-ger-land. Zilcho!
I've heard the US is pretty much the same and f*ck knows about Canuck land, RoW etc but probably all a*s *beep**d as well.

So far in Korea I've done a CELTA and started learning Korean properly as well. I've though of the obvious do an MA in TESOL or a PGCE teacher training course but has anyone done anything different? Everyone and his uncle seems to be trying to do this sort of thing at the moment. Which is never good.

A friend of mine told me once about a guy who done a helicopter training course in South Africa during his summer vacation!! Something like this would be interesting as it would take you in an entirely new direction and you would have a practical skill you could use of the bat.

So post your radical training/development ideas!! I wanna hear 'em.. part-time courses, distance learning courses, or intensives I could do over 4 weeks, investment opportunities..Post 'em so we can all merrily rip them apart!

Apologies for non-typo an*l (mistakes)

I'm into writing and I've found a few online classes that look pretty good. Getting ready to plop a week's salary on a travel writing class with a guy from lonely planet.

I've seen a couple people talk about online MAs, but I think I'll wait till I can do that in person.

As for investment and personal development, you should check out tim ferris' 4 hour work week (but don't believe the hype...take what is useful , leave the rest) and david allen's gtd.

I am thinking of increasing my scuba diving qualifications in the near future. If it is going well, I might just go all in and give diving a shot for a while.

I agree about the investment "guides" you need to take alot of with a pinch of salt. I had a look though some of it was interesting.

Scuba diving that rocks. I guess with a teaching ESL background you could do both in some paradise.
