Anybody know of any good locations for snorkeling in Korea?
The beaches I've been to on the mainland offer nothing for snorkeling enthusiasts.
Have you seen any good place with coral and lots of fish and such.
The only two places that "looked" good to me (I didn't try them) were Marado Island and Udo Island off of Jeju Island.
I spent two years growing up in a villa on the sunny island of Malta and I long for that kind of snorkeling adventure with fish and coral and nice, deep bays. |

Udo ain't worth it...been there, and granted, the 'coral' beach is nice, but only 5-7 meters long, with 200 Koreans and their kids on it, so, no, it's not nice for snorkelling...
Save your won, go to the Philippines. Some rocky places off the east coast are OK, but don't expect too much. |

I've got rather vague info that might give you a place to look. I heard that north-west of Seoul there's a place, but I haven't a clue if it's any good, and I'm sorry I can't say the name exactly.
Also for a really tame experience... they do offer diving in the shark tank in Busan Aquarium. |
