There will be a KOTESOL National conference this weekend, May 16th. Details here. A chance to see Cheongju (about an hour + from Seoul by bus) and network, gain teaching ideas. http://kotesol.org
The next day, May 17th there will be 2 parallel 4 hour, practical teacher training sessions. A chance to get more specific and ready to use classroom ideas.

I'd also suggest checking out the teacher training page I put together HERE. Lots of the best available materials for teacher training. Still, nothing beats the face to face of a workshop.
Cheers,

Thanks, for the information. Will try to make one of these.
Is anybody going to this from Seoul or Gyyeonggi? |

if it helps to entice people to attend, there is a new Indian restaurant open in Cheongju that is quite tasty and reasonably priced. |

From Seoul, a quick option is a bus from either Dong Seoul bus station (Gangbyeon station - Line 2) or Express Bus Terminal ( line 3/7 - even quicker, about an hour).
I'll have to find that Indian place. If there is good curry, I'm in a hurry (to get there ).

actually it takes a bit longer than that.....if there's no traffic then most of the time it's close to an hour and forty minutes. longer depends on how bad the traffic is at the time. |
