my school/company has asked me to submit a "proof or residency" form and i am unclear about how to obtain one. it seems simple enough in the request but how does one actually do this? ive never done this when working abroad. is this just a formality or do i really have to do this or suffer having to pay taxes at the end of the contract? can anyone help with a link or something, im from america, thanks. |

If you are Canadian all you have to do is go into Canadian embassy and get a signed paper by the consulate. Pretty stupid that you go in get paper and have to pay 55 000 won for it but you get to miss class.
If your american you have to fill out some form on the irs site. Seems like a pain but at the end you save a lot of money. |

Are you sure they aren't asking you for Proof of Residency in Korea? You can get that at the immigration office in the City Air Terminal; or at least you could several years ago...may be elsewhere by now
You should CLARIFY exactly what they want....never assume anything with a Korean |
