I applied for EPIK through Footprints, while my friend applied directly through EPIK. We both got accepted about 3 weeks ago and have been getting our documents together. She asked the EPIK coordinator if we could switch our #1 cities and he said no problem, he just needed an email authorization from me and a phone call from both of us to do that. I emailed him last night and said I was emailing him to switch my #1 city and my friend and I would call him today. He sent me an email back saying that since our current #1 (Busan) was almost full, we'd automatically get placed in #2 (Daegu) and if I have any more questions I need to talk to Footprints and not him. He wrote my friend saying the same, and then said that if Daegu gets close to filling, he may ask my friend if she wants to send her documents to Daegu even if mine aren't there yet.

So basically I am wanting to just send my documents directly to EPIK instead of to the Footprints office in Daegu, where all it seems they will do is look at them and then send them to EPIK anyway. Would doing that be a problem? Has anyone done that before? I really want my docs to be in the EPIK office ASAP so we can both get into Daegu and I'm scared that sending them to Footprints will waste too much time.

Ask the EPIK office, not us on 'Dave's'!

I'm pretty sure, however, that they will tell you to send your docs. to Footprints. If you did send your docs. directly to the EPIK office, Footprints will get all 'pissy' for leaving them out of the loop (and possibly creating a situation where they won't get paid their W1,000,000+).

Yeah that's what I figured. I wanted to ask the Epik guy but he sounded pretty clear when he said that I shouldn't e-mail him any more with questions since I applied through Footprints, and I KNOW what they would say! I just hope they send my stuff quick Sad
