|
|
I just moved here (December), and I get the feeling like there is an order to the nightlife. Like x about of months here means you hang out at the London Pub in Sinchon or Seoul Pub in Itaewon, and x amount of months here means you hang out at Mike's Cabin and x amounts of years means you hang out somewhere across the river. "I don't do Hongdae", etc.
So what is the typical order?
Can I just skip the order and graduate and be as cool as the people at the end of the order?

I don't think there's a particular order to it. You're just seeing the outward effect of different cohorts of people getting bored with the same places after a few months, and so moving to other locations.
Club/pubs open and close with amazing speed in this country and that forces regular punters to find new places too.
Why don't you just find a place that you like and frequent it?
p.s. I've heard of Mikes Cabin many times, where is it? |

It's important to be cool in Korea. Don't be seen at certain places or you'll be an outcast. Ooh my. |

I've been here for a few years now. There is no "order".
That applies in so many ways! |

So true! Here are the chips. Oh, here are more chips. Wait aren't these the same chips that were over there. Not these chips again.
Could someone please color code something! |

You must work your way around the city in a counter-clockwise fashion. However, be careful because the Baseball Furies are out to get you. |

No order, they're vastly different. Like bars and foreigners- hit Itaewon, like dancing and a mix of people, hit hongdae, like standing in packed expensive rooms with mostly Koreans, hit gangnam. |

Walk through the underground mall down the end of Shinchon station, walk up the stairs at the end of the mall. down the street, past the dakgalbi places and a million other small restaurants. At the end very of that street, turn left. Carry on up there about 50m, it's on the left. |

Start in Jong ro. Pay 300,000 won with some buddies and get drunk while giddy girls are brought to your table and don't know what to say with foreigners there.
Go to Hongdae, dance in some clubs.
Go to Itaewon and drink in a bar. Go to a hooker on the hill. |
