Would love to play with someone! Playing online is OK, but I prefer to play on a physical board with an actual person sitting on the other side of it. I have a board, and I'm a decent player (been playing since I was 5ish.. my grandfather taught me). Are there any good backgammon players around? Some backgammon club? I'm in Seoul.

Started playing when I was about 8 (31 years ago). My Iranian step-father taught me. I go through spells where I get really obsessed with it for about a month and then usually drift away from it for a few months. My last spell playing was about 3/4 months ago I think; possibly around Christmas when I had a bit of down time. I use GammonEmpire when I do play though.

I'm studying as well though, so just how often and how intensively I play is determined by whether I've an assignment hanging over me or not. My next one is due in June, but I've already got a fair amount of reading to plow through in preparation. Also, my apartment was broken into a couple of weeks ago and my laptop was stolen and I haven't gotten round to reinstalling the GE software etc.

Unfortunately, I'm not in Seoul, but if you get desperate for an online game, then I'll be happy to whip your ass if want. Wink

You'll have to PM though as I don't get notified when someone responds to a thread I've commented on.

Wanna play at the Wolfhound on Saturday or Sunday? 1000/game
to make it interesting. My buddy and I play that way. At the end
of a session we are rarely out of pocket more than 10,000 won.

PM me if you are interested.

I used to play on Gammon Empire for money until I realised the rakes are too high and the administrators dont want you to withdraw your money. Im Iranian so I guess its in the blood.
