I can honestly say that I was pretty much indifferent to the guy. I think the only thing I saw him in was The End, where he plays someone that Burt Reymolds hires to kill him.

A lot of other people seemed to think he was pretty funny, though.

He was good in The End. He had his moments in other films as well.

Orson Welles made it to 70 as I recall. And of course Marlon Brando kicked at 80.

His son was on 21 Jump Street, no?

Yeah, he was the stocky built one. Never saw him in anything after that.
