|
|
Hi guys,
I just emailed a scan of my signed contract to the recruiter and now she's asking me to mail:
1. The signed contract (please send me the whole documents w/ your signature on it)
2. Your original degree certificate
3. Sealed university transcript of records (unopened and stamped across the enclosure)
4. Photocopy of the Info Pages in your Passport
5. Four color passport sized photos
6. A copy of your resume with correct address and contact information
7. Criminal Record Check: Must be apostilled!!!
8. Applicant's Health Statement (attached file)
Is this normal? Shouldn't I be sending stuff to the Korean Consulate?
Also, I told her that I wanted a copy of the contract with the school's signature as well before I send her anything.
Thanks for your comments! |

| Don't send the originals of anything. Have your degree apostilled and send that. |

I told recruiter I didn't want to send the original and she said OK, but the process would take a lot longer. Is that BS? True or not, I'm not sending the original.

2. Your original degree certificate
Like the previous posters said, a notarized/apostilled copy of your original degree certificate works for everyone else. Do not send the original.
These are the documents your school will take to Korean Immigration to apply for your visa issuance authorization. Make copies of everything you send and take them along (for good measure) to the consulate for your visa, along with your original diploma and passport. |

| There's no reason it would take longer, that's silly. Oh and to answer your first question and echo Kikomom, yeah your recruiter needs those things to get your visa number. At that point you take or mail your passport (the original this time!) to the consulate for your visa. |
