Here is a thread for ideas people have for hobbies people can do with a Korean flavor.

I have two:

Start an ugly tie collection.

Play Yu Gi Oh with only cards picked up on the street.

I started a whores of the neighborhood name card collection. Just pull them off car windows or pick them up from the street. Keep them sorted in a business card holder. Trade 'em with your friends! More fun than baseball cards! Cool

Even more fun. You take them into your hakwon boss and tell him you found this "charity card" on the street. Tell him that you used to donate to charity back home and you'd like him to explain the card to you so you can find out where you can make a donation to these women who are so badly in need of basic clothing. Don't be sarcastic, just act the dumb waygookin. Act fascinated and tell him how important you think it is to support worthy charities.

Other fun hobbies for foreigners in Korea:

Ride in elevators. When a crowd of people gets on, recite Bogart's final speech to Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca in a deep, gruff voice. When someone gets off, point your finger at them, wink and say, "Here's looking at you, kid."

If a gang of high school boys walks buy and one of them says, "hello", give him a big hug and say, "Hello! How are you?!! OMIGOD I haven't seen you in AGES!!" and shake his hand vigorously.

Rent a truck, preferably a Bongo with speakers.

Ride around apartment complexes with the PA system at full volume blaring,

If you're riding the subway, put a puzzled and serious expression on your face, as if you are trying to remember something.

Counting on your fingers, say to yourself in a loud, questioning voice:

Neomu banjjak banjjak nunibusyeo No? No? No? No? No?
Neomu kkamjjak kkamjjak nollan naneun Oh Oh Oh Oh Oh? (raised eyebrows)

Neomu jjaritjjarit momi tteollyeo Gee Gee Gee Gee Gee
Jeojeun nunbit Oh Yeah?
Joheun hyanggi Oh Yeah Yeah Yeah?

Someone will probably help you with the next part.

If you're walking down the street and an ajosshi is staring at you, kind of fake a little stumble as though you were not watching where you are going. Stare at him dumbstruck, averting your eyes at the last minute.
