I have a question about appliance shopping in Korea. I'm not sure if anybody will know the answer, but I'm just going to ask.

My wife says there are differences between appliances depending on where you buy them. For example, we have been looking to buy a refrigerator. We looked at three places, an LG Store, HiMart and on the Internet. Each place gives us a different price. My wife says that is because LG makes different levels of the same model. So, the LG Store and the HiMart have the highest level and the Internet stores sell the lowest level. She says that the appliances sold on TV shopping are also the lowest level.

I don't understand how LG could make a refrigerator with the same model number, but different parts on the inside. Is this true or is my wife terribly misinformed?
