Does anyone know, either from first hand experience or through word of mouth, where the best place to go for teeth whitening is? I want to have it done at a dentist and am curious about the costs and best locations. Any advice would be nice.

I had a quote of 600,000 won last year at my dentist. I'd like to know if anyone has found a cheaper price though.

My teeth are now **sparkling** - so all my friends seem to think...

I paid 400,000 won for teeth whitening - at an EXCELLENT dentist - the clinic is at MongChontoseong Station (pink link 8 )

For that fee - it covered 1.5hours X 2 sessions of having my teeth professionally whitened...

That was 4 months ago - and my teeth are still sparkling

the Dentist is at MongChontoseong Station (pink line number 8 )

take exit 3 (and as soon as you exit the station you will be standing in front of "Dunkin Donuts)

the dentist is on the third floor (above Dunkin Donuts)

Open times (9am ~6pm) and Saturdays 9am~1pm

Clinics name is "Seoul Herb Dental Clinic"

Its best to phone them and make an appointment

(02) 425-2875 The girl who answers the phone will ask you to wait (when you speak English) and she will fetch the dentist who speaks perfect English..

This dentist was kind, friendly, and very professional.

Yesterday, was it laser or chemical?

Did it hurt?

Both or one of the other - maybe laser - and a little chemical - but I am not sure

The dentist had already fixed all my teeth (over a 2 month period) - and it was my last thing to do (finally remove all the yellow stains from years and years of drinking red wine, black coffee and smoking

so - the female (very pretty and kind) korean dental assistant did the whitening - twice for 1 1/2 hours each time (first, then second time one week later)

the first time - there was absolutely no pain - and the pretty female nurse sat beside me - adjusting things for the whole 1 1/2 hours..

the second time - there was no pain again - until it was finished - then I felt a little pain on my front-lower four teeth - but the pain only was felt if I touched the teeth - and without touching them - there was no pain - then after an hour - there was no pain at all - even if I touched them or ate something...

I was surpised - because I couldn't actually see any difference in my teeth

but when I went to school the next day - many many people kept saying to me - "Wow - your teeth are so white" what did you do?

so many people notice the white smile

p.s. - the dentist speaks perfect English and the pretty female dental assistant also speak very good english

Sounds like they did a great job but I thought it'd be cheaper than that....

I thought so too. This is similar to some prices you can get in Canada, yet other dental procedures here are several times cheaper. Someone pointed out wisdom teeth being ridiculously cheap, a scaling is like 50,000W where its over $200 in Canada without insurance.

I had two sessions of teeth whitening for 500,000 Won. Chemical process that hurt like crazy. I have hypersensitive teeth, though. It was like my teeth were getting a suntan without any SPF. I was writhing in pain. Ah, vanity.

Thanks, everyone. Does anyone else have an experience?

Do you think that if I just walked into a local dentist (I live outside of Seoul, near the city) they would have teeth-whitening services for cheaper? I guess I could always call ahead.

Just go and out. The prices seem to be around the same range most anywhere.
