Is Norway's, or any, socialist economy reconcilable with a fertility rate of less than (84% of in 2008) replacement level?
Socialism works in Norway at the moment and my view is that this says more about Norwegians than it does about socialism (in other cultures, socialism wasn't successful), but more importantly, is Norwegian socialism sustainable? (this assuming that one doesn't buy, as I believe one shouldn't, that incessant immigration, particularly from the Muslim World, is the solution to low fertility rates) |

Norway's birth rate is below the level required for population sustainability according to this. I believe 2.1 children per woman is considered the required number to break even.
It's a problem I admit, but it's also not particularly shocking; better off, better educated people tend to be less likely to have children in sizeable numbers, because they have many other options in life which they may well find more appealing. |

Why would it be a problem, each individual has made a decision not to have kids..... |

Because the only solution seems to be importing muslims and permanently changing the character of the nation to suit the economic needs of a single, greedy generation. |

On an individual level it isn't a problem (as you say, it's their decision), but for a nation losing population can be a problem. |
