I was wondering anyone knew where this was in Seoul. I read about it awhile ago. Its where you can buy a coffee or other drink and hang out with the dogs that live at the cafe. I guess you can bring your own too. It sounds like a neat place to check out. |

"Bau Haus caf is in Hongdae. If you are on Parking lot street, pass the Buy the Way intersection and make a right on the first alley. Bau Haus is about 50 meters in the alley on the second floor." What the hell kind of location description is that??? "Parking lot street"??? WTF!
Anyone have REAL directions? You know, with landmarks people actually know? Subway stations, stores that aren't Buy the Way... |

The link to the flyer didn't work. Can you please post directions from the subway? |

there are some directions and a map.
the parking lot street is a very well known street for those familiar with the hongdae area. i don't think anyone was trying to be nefariously vague.
keep your eyes up as most of the signs for it are on the 3rd floor, where it actually is. the signs are a sea-foam color with a white silhouette of a dog. i believe the writing is in white too, but i could be wrong.
good luck! it's a lot of fun. |

Thanks!
They actually have a map on their page along with the baffling directions, but it's so small I can't read the text. (This is probably the same map doc_ido posted.) The nefariousness is pretty overwhelming! |

I've been there; it's really not cool at all. I went with my GF, who's a big dog-lover...I'm not, and even I thought it was kind of abusive.
To each his own, but for me it was kind of sad. |

We went one time and the crowd was kinda weird, too. We've seen some strange ex-pats, but these seem especially in need of something.
There was an older woman who just wouldn't stop hugging a dog and then she started crying. Can anyone say "Issues"! |

No, the place is fine and worthy of support. They have 10 or so dogs that live there and are walked daily. They get to play with other dogs and receive attention from visitors all day. Other dogs are boarded there by their owners - a far better option then boarding them at the vets.
They have multiple breeds living there so its a fairly unique place to visit, especially if your Korean friends have only been exposed to little house dogs. |

Does this place still exist? Tried to go there over the weekend with my boyfriend but we couldn't find it. We were definitely on the right street. |

You feel that way about a bar? It's just a business. If one fails, another will take its place. |
