Ok so I lost my passport (w/ the enclosed E-2 Visa) like the first day after I landed in Korea almost a month ago. And I finally got everything sorted and I went to Seoul yesterday to get a new one. So now I have a new passport but no visa, am I in for another long ordeal to get a new visa? Also is it going to effect the setting up of my bank account if I don't have a visa stamp in my passport? |

Try to find your visa issue number, and use that number at immi.
Get your arc in order asap. |

You don't have it in an email? If it was your first E2 you probably would have had your issuance number emailed to you to take into the local Korean embassy. Alternate, your employer may have kept it on file from when they vouched for you. |

I got my visa issued to me at the consulate office in NYC, if they contacted the board of ed here it was on their own. |

Just do what the above poster said and ask everyone who has paperwork on you if they can locate the number. Call the embassy at home if you have to. |

Just make an appointment with your boss at the local immigration office and sort it out. it may take half a day or so. However, take a Korean. |
