Has anyone had any experience with pensions in Gangwon, specifically around Sokcho (or any other place worthwhile in late July)?? Any pension recommendations/areas of interest??
My family is coming and my girlfriend and I are going to show them 'sparkling korea'. It'll be 5 adults, 2 small kids. I was looking at 'Santahill'. Many others look tacky or have a lame environment (for real, there was one in the middle of crop fields..and that was the ad photo).
I was hoping for one within 30 minutes (taxi) of Sokcho's beaches, Seorak and the town. But, still a nice environment, forest and whatnot.
Hope some out there can help out a bit...BIG THANKS!! |

You won't really get any forests, but I'd suggest the area south of Sokcho, around YangYang. Naksan beach and temple are both there, and it's not far from Seoraksan. |
