When he took off 1/4 of a penny that made me laugh.
You'd have to accept that Bush spending and Obama spending are different, but yea, it's a hell of a lot of debt, and I'm sure China's loving it. |

Videos like this are good, although it's embarassing that they are necessary. I'm reminded of the poll numbers someone posted a while back wherein the majority of people didn't know how much a trillion really was. |

Interesting blog post on this issue. Havn't read all the links but this guy claims it is rational behavior to be politically ignorant.

Unfortunately, public ignorance about policy goes far beyond cap and trade. It extends to many other issues. As I have argued in various articles (e.g. here and here), political ignorance is actually rational behavior for most voters. But it is a serious problem for modern democracy, one that will only get worse as government continues to expand in size and complexity. |

Good one. Go Obama Go! I'll add that Obama's budget continues what Bush started, but is now on steriods. Obama is to drive America to bankruptcy and then shutdown when the creditor calls all the debt due as a result of defaulting from not being able to service the debt load. All this debt requires payments to the creditor every quarter. That's too bad we have to go down this road that didn't have to be taken. Consider China owning the USA itself one day and you, the American, being at the mercy of the new Chinese leadership and administration. Too bad America doesn't take a stand and demand a better country system that works in a sustainable manner that protects our interests in the worlds best piece of scenic real estate rich in ginormous amounts of untapped natural resources everyone wants to get their greedy hands on. Why not yet tapped? We're operating on liberal environmental protectionist principals only saving it for someone else to benefit in the future. Oil in the West? Yikes! The China-ization of the world will happen. |
