I've had a myspace site for almost a year. The great thing about myspace is you can really pimp up your site with slideshows and music
and all kinds of cool graphics. I'm assuming you can do the same with facebook although some of the few facebooks sites I've seen are pretty plain. However in the short time I've been with facebook I've connected more with old highschool friends.

IMO, Myspace is very unorganized.

Yes its true, the format on Facebook is more plain, however it is a helluva lot easier to read black letters over white rather than some of the atrocious colors some Myspace posters throw up trying to make their site look "good"

Started on Myspace. Later I got Facebook too. Now, I rarely even bother to check my myspace.

MySpace just isn't user friendly. If you want to find the profile of a friend not in your top 8, it's incredibly disorganised. Especially if your friend has an odd nickname. The only thing MySpace is good for is hearing bands.

Facebook's biggest problem is all the irritating invitations you get. "Vampire invitation," "Zombie invitation," damn hell.

I used facebook in college, then deleted it before I came to Korea. I started a myspace in Korea, but let it sit for a few months and when I logged back in it said my account may have been hacked (I forget the term they used). So I and many I knew just deleted their account. I reopened my Facebook a couple years ago, and generally like it.

Facebook is an excellent way to stay in touch, and for people in Korea you'll find there are tons of groups for each location and interest. Myspace sucks for searching and finding new friends and, yeah, all the graphics and music really suck. It pisses me off that Facebook continues to mess around with the page, but it's so much less annoying than Myspace became.

What I can't understand is twitter. What's the use in that?

My facebook account was disabled last week. I'd grown addicted to mafia wars and, as a result, my friends list mushroomed from around 100 to over 700, the final 300 being added over the course of about 5-days. I'd received a couple of automated warnings telling me to 'slow down', which I did, but whilst inviting other players I was suddenly logged out without warning. I've not been able to log back in since.

There's a growing number that get disabled apparently, but I think most get re-activated after a 'cooling off' period of couple of weeks, especially if it's through over using third-party gaming applications, but be careful if you use FB for staying in touch with family and friends etc. It's been a royal PITA for me.

MYSPACE- one of the big three in the "whitetrash-i-fication" of the internet. that plus Ebay, plus AOL and other chatrooms.....

Though a "cooling off" time for something called Mafia Wars is so counter-productive. did Al Capone have a "cooling off" period?!?!?!? Evil or Very Mad
