Is the first day listed in the contract that the day you're expected to teach class, or just the date you're expected to be in Korea? I ask because that's the day they want me to fly in. |

In Korea, unless you have a public school 'orientation', the day you fly in and the day you start teaching are usually one and the same. |

If your contract begins on a working day, you will probably be in the classroom. Personally, I came a couple of days before my contract commenced which gave a couple of days to get my bearings. However, I now have to deal with the ramifications of having to extend to fulfill my contract because of the date on my ARC. |
