I hated Kimchi for about a year. I wouldn't touch it. Then I started eating a little. Well, sure enough, almost 4 years on, I'm addicted. I eat it with anything and everything. It bothers me they don't serve it with kimbap or mandu. I buy it all the time and am in heaven when it's fermented just right. I crave it. I can evem eat it plain without food now. I'm going to die from too much salt.

I eat one or two pieces a day. That's usually enough for me these days.
Something here's been burning a hole in my stomach and I'm not entirely sure kimchi wasn't partly to blame. That or the 7 cups of coffee I was drinking a day. Needless to say I cut back on both.

I eat about I would guess maybe, 200g of the stuff a day... Not a huge amount, but the amount I eat seems about right. If it is flavored right and left to ferment not to long so it has the right acidity, it has a very clean and refreshing taste.

Ha! Kimchi reminds me of sauerkraut - but the eisbein is lacking. Good kimchi kicks some serious ass, for sure - but bad kimchi?

It's totally an aquired taste. Like I said, for a year I scoffed at the idea of eating it. Yuck! It looked and smelled gross. Now I can't remember how I could have thought that. I love kimchi so much now. I imagine myself selling kimchi tacos on the streets of Hongdae!

Guess I eat it with lunch and dinner on most days....could never stomach the stuff for bk...

If its the fresh stuff my wife makes I can eat it all the time, except for breakfast. Recently I discovered fresh kimchi is quite amazing with Bratwurst or other sausages--it beats the hell out of sauerkraut.

That stuff stinks! No taste to it either! How can it have any taste when it's hot and stinks? Your tongue is buring. Ah, don't get me started! But what the heck... some western food stinks also, but kimchee!? That stuff goes through your pores and kimchee eaters smell bad. Get into an elevator full of koreans and you know what I'm talking about.

Fried baloney, velveeta, icegerg lettuce, ketchup, kimchee sandwiches. A friend of mine from Alabama and I were discussing White trash food one day and he proudly displayed his stash of baloney procured from an army base. One thing led to another and guess what, it's pretty damn good.
