Hey I'm not really sure where to put this thread. I know this seems a little ridiculous, but we've grown quite attached to this TV, and we probably won't have another chance to get one for a long time, so instead of selling it we were thinking of shipping it back home (Pennsylvania).

We looked into a little bit and found out it will probably be around 200 dollars to send back, which is fine... but we're not sure exactly how to do it. Can we send it in a normal box and stuff it with something? Is there something special we need to ship it in?

Any advice at all about this kind of thing would be very helpful. Thanks in advance Smile.

You are aware that you will have problems with the power supply going from Korea to the states.

Shipping will depend a lot on the actual size of the TV. It will probably be too large for anything other that air freight or perhaps EMS.

You should try to find a box similar to the one it was in when you bought it (with the styrofoam inserts). If you can it will probably ship OK. If you try to use anything else there is a good chance it will be either crushed or the screen cracked/broke (I assume it is a LCD).

Yea I do know that I will need a step up converter which isn't a problem. As far as finding the box, do you happen to know of anyplace to find one? Also, it is Plasma not LCD, and it's 42" if that helps.
Thanks for your advice.

For a box, try one of the local dealers of that TV ( or some place like Hi-Mart). You may get lucky. Alternatively, electroland by Yongsan station may have something you can use (suitable sized box and packing material ) but it won't be free (but probably cheap).

Ok thanks a lot. I'm actually going to Yongsan today, so that works out nicely. Very Happy
