I'm planning on going to Vietnam in the summer and I want to buy a bike over there and do the Ho Chi Minh trail- up to Hanoi in one month. I was going skirt bits by putting the bike on the train as frieght.
I don't have a bike in Seoul but I was thinking about getting some road experience in over here before I get to Vietnam. So I need to know where I can get some practice in on a 125cc touring bike?
I'm scared shitless of Siagon/big cities but the roads outside the cities look pretty cool. I passed a 125cc bike test (the old CRB in the UK) and had a scooter for a short while so I have a little experience but I need more. I just cant go to Vietnam and sit on buses all day. *beep* that..

Don't bother in Korea. The "courses" here are in Korean and meant to make you pass the parking lot course you need for MC drivers license in Korea. They not only neglect any safety abilities that will save your life (you ride in 1st gear), but the rules they make you follow neglect global safety standards (not using your feet for slow 90 degree turns on an unfamiliar bike).

Korea and MC safety training are like kimchi and chocolate ice cream. They don't mix.

1st gear? That's totally pointless dude. I'm wondering if an organisation like adventure Korea do bike tours outside Seoul?
I need something I don't fancy my chances turning up in Saigon with the bike experience I have now..I might even buy my own bike in Korea just for the experience..
Has anyone done the Ho Chi Minh Tour on a bkie??
