An interesting article about how fashionable and trendy bikes are becoming in Korea.

Kind of have my misgivings to be honest. it's great to hear about Koreans really getting into road cycling and mountain biking for fun, or accepting bike commuting as a healthy, eco-friendly and practical way to get around, but the following makes me cringe.

Luxury brands are getting involved, too. Armani has brought out a range of black bicycles with an iPod holder and Gucci has one in red to mark the Beijing Olympics last year. In Korea, actress Bae Doo-na was seen with her black Chanel model, a costly $12,600 with jeweled pant clips.

wow, he's going to design mountain bikes too. Neat.

I think the reporter (or Mr. kim) needs to check their facts though. I lived in Oxford on and off for about 3 years and though there are loads of bikes there, and a lot of students get around on bikes, I don't think there's any kind of blanket ban on cars.
