Thanks for finding that, it's not much but I'm sure there will be more later. I've been poking around for a few minutes trying to find something in English. Korean TV is in fact saying he passed away from his injuries. |

My wife is saying that the Korean news is reporting he jumped off a cliff in an apparent suicide. |

They are talking about it on CNN right now and being a little more careful about whether or not it was an accident or suicide. |

The only bad thing about this is that it prevents the law from finding him guilty. He took the coward's way out, but he was a coward so that is not a surprise. |

Let's hope it starts a trend and all the corrupt Korean leaders line up. Would give a whole new meaning to the word "summit."
Now if we could only get the bastards in Zhongnanhai in Beijing, the appointed Hong Kong legislators and the leaders of the Japanese Diet to follow suit. |

I was a bit saddened by this, moreso than I usually am at these kind of events. I liked some of what he tried to do as president, in terms of social and legal reform(I really don't trust LMB's gang to pursue anything like that).
Unfortunately, he will likely now be remembered for the corruption, and the mixed-result Sunshine policy(which, in fairness, was no less effective than any other policy in promoting North Korean reform).
Anyway, RIP. |

Oh, no.
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/asiapcf/05/22/roh.dead/index.html
I always wondered why he didn't go by "Noh" instead of "Roh". His name after all is "Noh".
Hard to confirm, we'll have to wait and see. But it's getting play time on CNN.
Anything from Korean websites/news sites? |

What you have effectively done is state that it is "good" that he is dead. So everything about it is "good", except one thing, which is "bad"?
I loathe people like you calling people "cowards", saying that someone's death was good, and accusing people of things without any evidence.
Are you a lawyer?
Politician?
Cop?
Judge?
Appointed Commissioner for some commission investigating him?
No, no, no, no, and no.
What is even more cowardly is making accusations about someone with an anonymous on-line moniker without offering any evidence at all.
There are good guys in the world, and bad guys in the world. It is clear as day as to which side of that moral fence you sit on.
And to think you teach children.... |
