Thinking of buying a new car and was wondering if there was an environmentally-safer option.
Also I do 200KMs a day, so an electric car would be save me some serious coin.

I don't have to buy until late-August, so I'm hoping that some of the hybrids or electric cars that are appearing on the market back home will soon be here.

I saw the Honda Insight at the Seoul Auto show. Is the Insight on sale in Korea?

Toyota Prious is for sale and I'd assume Honda's Insight is too. However, they both face a very large import duty putting it out of the average Kim's price range.

I don't think Hyundai's vehicle will be ready until next year, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, I guess both the Insight and the Prius would have horrible duty slapped onto them.
Jeremy Clarkson on the Insight:

So here goes. Its terrible. Biblically terrible. Possibly the worst new car money can buy. Its the first car Ive ever considered crashing into a tree, on purpose, so I didnt have to drive it any more.

According to the website of these guys:

I could save around 4 million won per year if I drove their model, which does look like a toy car, but ....4 million won!

Buy the French Peugeot (I can't spell it) 308HDi or something like that. It's the best you can buy in Korea. I almost bought one, but being the happy Conservative I am, went for power and luxury over saving the planet.

There's a dealership close to Seocho Stn. with some nice salesmen.
