I'm going over to japan for a few days, and I'm sure I'll need to recharge my camera batteries. Can anyone recommend a Japanese to Korean converter that I can use in Japan? Should I just wander over to yongsan and start looking around? I don't want to spend big money on it as I'm not going to be getting tons of use out of it.

In Japan the electric system is 110V, so firstly you check the usage range of your battery charger, nowadays most of chargers have voltage range from 100-250V.
In the case your battery charger has range 100-250V, then you have to buy a plug-converter:

In the case it has only for 220V -> maybe you have to bring voltage converter Shocked[/url]

yes, I just wondered if anyone knew where I could get such a plug converter before I go. I don't want to waste time there hunting for a converter.
my charger does to 100-250

So you just print out the converter if you don't know Korean word for it and go to an electric store.

I can't imagine japanese outlet to korean plug being a commonly carried item in most shops here. Korean outlet to japanese plug yes, but not the other way around.

OP, you don't need to go to Yongsan. Any local electrical hardware store should have one of those. Probably cost you not much more than 500won.
