If you are tired of working for other and know you have the system and ideas to run a proper English school; well now is your chance to be your own boss. And it will not cost you a fortune to get started up. This is a great opportunity for someone to have their own business.
My wife and I are putting our Hogweon up for sale. This has provided a comfortable living for the last 5 years but for a number of reasons we are moving on. Located In Ulsan, Un Yang area, about 20 outside Ulsan and 30 from Busan.
The area is exploding, with the KTX on its way, and a new college. There is an elementary school and a brand new middle school being built a 2 minute walk from our school. There are 3 sets of apartment complexes located all within a 5 minute drive.
Everything is included in the 45,000,000 price. Desks, white boards, etc... and the students. Usually when you buy a running school there a premium you pay per student. What I mean by the students, is basically here is the key for the school it is now yours, to do with whatever you like. The students will be paying on this particular date and that money will be yours.
The Rent is 500,000 per month, and key money is 10,000,000
I am not going to post the financials of my school on this ad. If anyone is interested, I will be happy to give any and all information. This is not a scheme or I'm not dumping a sinking ship. Just a person selling a business.
Unfortunately I cannot private message anyone (due to not enough posts) so please reply by email. And if you have any opinions, be respectful and email me instead of posting it under my ad. I do appreciate advice.
There are 3-12 seat classrooms, 1 other classroom, 2 bathrooms a reception office and a teacher's office, and a parking area. The bus is also for sale at a good price. As for competition in the area, there is an ELC around the corner and that is about it. Contact me at [email protected] if you are interested.
Thanks

Let me try this again because I don't like how I said it the first time.
I think you need to be clearer about what the person who buys this hagwon is getting. Are there computers, a photocopier, a printer, a webpage, fliers for the hagwon, and that sort of stuff? The few items you actually mention are easy to buy and aren't worth much. Is 45 the price one pays for a list of students and the phone numbers of your parents or does this include the key money for renting the hagwon. This could be a terrible deal or a great deal but one can't be certain unless you actual post such important details.
This isn't your first post about this. If you really want to sell your hagwon you need to be far more clear about basics such as how many students you have, how much you charge, the amount of money your hagwon earns in an average month. I say this as someone who actually has enough money to start a hagwon, has experience working with owners of one small foreigner owned hagwon and two larger Kyopo owned ones, and has seriously considered starting an academy of his own.
Then again, I think perhaps the more experience and connections someone has in Korea, the less likely they are to buy someone elses hagwon and the more likely they are to start one somewhere where their connections. |
