I'm in that strange time and place that is in between contracts. Where I finally got some free time and no particular place to be. In essance, I am part of Korea's unemployed; with the exception that I start a new job tomorrow.

So, where do I go? What do I do? Well, I hang out at all of my usual spots but at entirely different times than I would normally. Why?...well, I have more hours to fill now. Hours that would normally be spent in the classroom are spent in Coffee Shops and Pc Bangs. It's a rather unsettling feeling being in a PC bang at 3 in the afternoon on a Monday. With a feeling in the back of my mind saying..

"Hey, shouldn't you be talking to 7 year olds right about now?"

The answer is no, I have no 7 year olds to talk to and my only company seem to be the other people who are sharing my PC bang. Most of whom I'm going to generalize and say that they are unemployed. I can't even hang out with my other friends, because they're at "work"

I'm not accustomed to having ample free time in a country where they shove you in a classroom as soon as they can...it's a strange feeling and I'll almost be glad that I will eventually have a another 7 year old to talk to.

Coex feels like a ghost town during the week. So nice.

Seoul is much better during the day in the middle of the week with college kids and random unemployed younger girls walking about instead of at night when it's soju time and the neverending rush hour.

Jeez, one day off and you're getting all confused and worked up? Just enjoy it!

I love being out and about at hours of the day when normal people are working. Me and all the old and young Korean ladies who don't work!
