They did this last year. I get a letter asking for huge payments because someone at the SLC has messed up and assessed me for North Korea.
Why the hell did they call NK the democratic one.
I wrote in massive letters:
I LIVE IN THE REPULIC OF KOREA (ROK.)
I DO NOT LIVE IN THE DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF KOREA.

| I haven't paid back a penny and I haven't told them I'm in Korea, I just ignore all their letters. As far they are concerned and the Inland Revenue I am out of work, not claiming benefits. I was considering paying some back a few months ago because the interest rate was pretty high, but now the RPI is low the interest rate has been at 1% since March.... I wondering if they well let it slip into negative territory at the next time for reassessment. |
