Sorry if this has been done before, but can anyone recommend any good value and tasty Indian restaurants?
I've eaten at Ganga in Haeundae, not bad, but quite pricey.
Internet search revealed Shabana near Kyungsung Uni, can this be confirmed as a decent place to eat? also, what subway exit is it?
Cheers for any help or other recommendations. |

Come to Bombay Restaurant in Changwon if you're craving Indian food. Not only is it only a 40 min. ride from Sasang Station to Changwon, there are buses almost continuously (last one leaves at 2am, I think) and after you've had the great food there, with such a fantastic atmosphere and decent prices to boot, you can head to neighbouring O'Briens and relax with some cool expats.
(Yes, I'm a bit biased as I'm friends with the owners but the food really is excellent and the prices reasonable! ) |

Ganga is very good Indian food and the one in Chagwon is not bad but not as good as Ganga. O"briens has far from cool people unless I ran into the 20 bad ones, or it was just a bad night. The owner has dollars signs in his eyes rather than service. |

I ate at Shabana last night. It's around the back of the Century 21 building across from Kyungsung uni.
The Peshawari chicken was very runny, and had more of a chili taste than a curry one. Nan bread was good, all up not bad reasonably priced. Ganga is better but way more $$. |

I would have to disagree having been to both restaurants. Ganga was good but a bit too expensive for it and Bombay is just as good in terms of quality, and better in terms of atmosphere and price.
And as for O'Briens, if you've only been once and you managed to catch a night with a bunch of retards when all the regulars basically stayed home or didn't come out until much later then it's hard to make a real judgement. I've been going there for five years and I've rarely had a bad time. Perhaps your experiences were caused by overly high expectations in both cases? Who knows! I guess I'll just have to say you should maybe give it another shot! |
