Are you refering to "Dust in the Wind" and "Carry on Wayward Son". That Kansas. My god man, did you log on to Dave's from the old folks home. Are you popping Centrum Silver like M+M's? Does the oxygen line get in the way of your typing? |

Great music never gets old. Ever heard of Bach, Beethoven, Stravinsky? Think they'll be listening to Brittany in 200 years? Who needs the oxygen?

I was joking! Yes those tunes are pretty damn good in my opinion. I am not a fan of classical music myself, but Zepplin, the Stones, The Who etc., still get some serious air time to this day. For the record, I was real young when I heard those Kansas tunes and I have a spectacular memory. That last statement made me feel much better.
We may talk again old timer!! |

All Dave's posters are now flocking to youtube to hear some Kansas songs because you reminded all of us of how good they were. Thank you for the reminder. |

I like '70s music a lot, but not the stuff that I've heard on the classic rock stations for years. I cringe when I hear Foreigner, ZZ Top, Boston, early Journey (or later Journey, for that matter), the mighty Zep, Supertramp, etc.
But . . .
I do like the stuff that's rarely on the radio. '70s Judas Priest, UFO, Roxy Music (nothing past their 1975 Sirens album), and lately Uriah Heep. I just started getting into 'Heep, and they're pretty amazing.
I like "Carry on My Wayward Son", but other than that, I've never been a Kansas fan. |

I know. I aplogize to need 2 know. I was in a strange mood yesterday. It's funny how the Hermit Kingdom can take a seemingly calm and collected person and turn them into a raving lunatic. Some days I just want to take a nutty and go wild!!
I think he knows what my intentions were. |

The Hermit Kingdom does not turn anyone into a raving lunatic. It does however offer opportunities to practice emotional self control. For whatever reason, you choose to react as 'a raving lunatic'. The question then is, why? What's the payoff for you?
PS: Yes, Kansas had some great tunes. |

I haven't acted nor hope to ever act as I described above. The thought has crossed my mind plenty of times. Yes, Korea seems to be one of the best countries in the world to practice self control. Why you ask? I haven't truely come to a complete conclusion yet. The isolation is definitely part of it. The payoff? Instant gratification which would lead to self-disgust and a possible deportation. I believe I have excellent self control. It seems being in the "Kingdom" has caused me to re-evaluate my control status. |

"Play the Game Tonight" is my favorite Kansas tune.
Speaking of lesser played 70's greats:
10cc's - The things we do for love is a total piece of crap pop song I ran across on a youtube recommendation that I can't help but love. |

I remember that song. Again I was very young, have an excellent memory and I believe they played it well into the 80's. |
