Do they even have charity shops in Korea? I have some clothes that aren't worth taking home with me, but it seems like a waste to throw away. Is there any sort of charitable place that might accept them in Seoul? |

yes, there are bins for charity and shops you can donate too.
A friend of mine always throws a clothing swap when we've got too much stuff. A bunch of us get together and swap clothes / dvds/ books/ etc...
You could do that? |

For the last few years I have laid down plastic, then put the folded clothes on top with shoes or boots beside, in front of my building and within an hour gone back to check and there is not one shred of anything left. |

I'm not sure about other cities, but in here in Daegu there are big blue "bins" that have locks on them, usually on corners or on the pavement near the "garbage spot".
I saw someone come with a truck to empty the clothes from there. I guess they hand them out. |

There are green metal bins around that are for donating clothes. Keep an eye peeled the next time you're walking about.
Or, like someone said, just leave stuff outside and it'll get taken. |
