I called the FBI this morning and told them about my dilemma.
They said that my fingers must not have deep enough ridges and getting rejected is a common problem -gee that makes me feel so much better!

The FBI also said that when this happens, most countries have a plan B. I haven't heard anything about this ever happening to someone or any alternative route to take to get this done in Korea. They said I should bring my rejected copies with me. Like what's that supposed to say? "Hey, look, I tried!"

So..is there anybody who's been through an ordeal like this? Who should I contact once I get to Korea?

i downloaded a copy from the FBI's webpage, printed it on thick paper and took them to a police station in Seoul. I sent them in(FedEx) and they were rejected. I received official cards from them, same size and similar paper. I had to go to the same police office again. They were accepted after all that.

On Monday I have an appointment with a private investigator company that works for the NJ State Police. They don't use ink like the FBI. Instead, it'll be a computer scan. It should be better but there's still a chance of them not being able to read my prints.

I'm worried about this happening to me.

I've been working extensively on the farm and the skin on my fingertips is pretty worn. There's some peeling skin, minor abrasions, and I really don't see much fingerprint with my naked eye, compared to how they look when I do indoor work.

Did you have to send $18 each time or did the first payment cover all fingerprint submissions?

You have to send money (was it $18? I can't remember the amount) and it's good for two times. After the second time you have to pay again. Every payment is good for two times but you can send multiple copies each time. Good luck and keep us updated on what happens!
