I'm at a PC bang.............it is about 84 degrees outside.....and only a hint of a breeze.
There are no fans on.
The guy just clsed the door.
No AC is running.
Do Koreans really enjoy sitting and steaming in their own kimchi/garlice infested scent (sorry.........just calling it as I ...smell it) with no fresh air to breath?
Same goes for traveling on the express buses here.
Anyone have a logical answer for this?

My best honest answer - I believe most if not all of the country turns on the AC and heat on specified days of the year. I believe this due to energy conservation. I do not know if they like the smell of the garlic and kimchi metabolites exiting their pores.
You have a country with a population of 44 million in an area slightly larger than the state of Indiana (If you are American). 70% of the land mass is mountains and they don't realy build on the mountains (A royal pain in the ass). So now you have 44 million people living in an area the size of Connecticut. Holy Craaaaap! Is it really any wonder energy conservation and putrid odors go hand in hand in the Hermit Kingdom. Not to mention the passing of viruses, bacterial infections etc. This country is perfect for the generation of a pissed off virus that could end it all. |
