I thought that that was funny. Granted, it's somewhat exaggerated, but I've met folks who would ask if Yugoslavia was in South America or if Norway was the capitol of Sweden. The funniest one was when my friend from Greece was asked if he spoke Italian.

I remember once watching "Family Feud", and this woman was asked to name a famous Greek person, and she said, and I kid you not, "The Coliseum". Of course, knowing facts about the world doesn't make a person good or bad, it's just knowledge. There are ignorant people all over the world. Some people in England didn't know that Winston Churchill was a real person, and plenty of Europeans if you tell them you're going to Korea, they wonder if it's North or South Korea.

Anyway, I thought the link was very funny. I like it when Jay Leno asks people questions. I wouldn't look down on folks who don't know. They just don't know. Just don't make such a person a president, please!!!

I think the funniest part of that is how Africa isn't even there.

No, no. That's meant to signify the Kentucky Derby. I should change that, since its long over by now.

If your basic geography covers 50 states with 50 capitals, geography probably seems a lot more difficult than it would in other countries.

Yes, shouldn't that be New Derby? You buggers, always stealing our names!

The Kentucky Derby is a horse-racing event, not an actual town. Please tell me you knew that.

I was in Paris, Kentucky yesterday. It even had a large not-so-monumental water tower.

It is very good except it would be better if Canada was marked differently. Americans have many generalized opinions about Canadians.

I would also have marked Mexico as Spring Break Land or something.

The average Korean's (not those guys you tutor for 100 bucks an hour in Seoul...we're talking about my homeboy in Jeolla-Do eating his dwenjang) perception of the world. Sorry I didn't make a map..but I don't think its necessary.

South Korea-- 우리나라!!!! 신토불이 #1 세게최고 TOP AND BEST!!!! FIGHTING!!!!!!

Every other country on Earth-- 외국나라들...........관심없다

I think India should have its own separate place on that map. It could be called "Call for tech support" or something

yeah, i'll admit Americans are on average not too good at geography. that being said, when I was in Europe, I came to the conclusion that Europeans aren't that great either, no matter how much they like to lord it over us Americans. Europeans know Europe. But apparently they seem to think China is the only Asian country in the world Rolling Eyes

I don't think many people are good at geography. I have met far too many people in my life who just don't seem to have any clue about where things are or their proximities.
