Aren't you okay as long as your application is in by June 2nd? It sounds like you already turned yours in, so you should be fine.
BTW, did you apply directly or through a recruiter? |

Hey Zach,
When did you turn in your application? It takes about 3-4 weeks for them to get back to you for an interview.
I had my interview last Wednesday and they said I will get my results from my recruiter in 2-3 business days.
A friend of mine turned in his application Friday through e-mail. They now made the deadline for this Wednesday, June 3. So he's afraid also that he might not hear back before the deadline either. |

Just a pain in the ass, I've been sitting around paranoid that I was going to miss the dates, blah blah blah, and not get an interview.
but, now I 've got one.

Ahhhh ... EPIK. The woman I dealt with a few years ago, Betty in Cheongju, was FANTASTIC. Very professional and on the ball. Unfortunately the guy in Daejeon she handed me off to was the exact opposite of her.
Everything was on hold for the interview. The interview was so important. The interview was the decider. What a crock. I was asked one question. "When can you start?" I could have been there WEEKS before that if it wasn't waiting to answer that oh so important question.
I had a LOT of trouble contacting him view email in phone. In fact I had to get ahold of the Cheongju office to get the guy in Daejeon to actually reply to me.
When the tool finally sent my VISA papers he didn't courier them he MAILED them! It took over 3 weeks to get them. When they did arrive there was a note inside saying that if they weren't in the hands of the embassy for processing THE DAY BEFORE I RECEIVED them they would be invalid and it would be assumed I didn't want the job.
At that point I had visions of what it would be like working for that idiot and decided EPIK wasn't for me.
Not everyone is as bad as the moron I got saddled with at EPIK. Mind you the interview was a farce. As much as a Hagwon phone interview. |
