I've always wondered why the pop music of mainland Europe is so terrible. Abba is the only exception I can think of. Why does all the good pop and rock music come from the UK or the USA?
Although I'm impressed by the showmanship of that Norwegian lad. I can see he's going to be a hit with the ladies!! |
ABBA? To each his/her own, I suppose... |
Abba wrote great pop songs. Timeless melodies. Like the early Beatles wrote great pop songs. They seem cheesy because they were a product of the 70's. Why do you think Abba never seem to die away? They are more popular than ever. Their songs are timeless. Not like the awful, awful, instantly forgettable euro-pop that is typified by what is usually on the Eurovision Song Contest. |

I would rather say he is lovely and bright than pretty.
He radiates very positive energy in his performance, which also feels 100% natural. |

The saving grace of Korea pop music, as opposed to the British and American rubbish is that I can only understand a fraction of the words.
As for eastern European music... check out Gogol Bordello, they will rock your socks off. |

Haha. In order to impartially judge we need to take someone, from Turkey or somewhere, who speaks neither English nor Korean and ask them which country's pop crap is better. Then again, to put someone through that would be inhumane... |

To be fair, I like some Korean songs. I just don't like pop generally.
"I wish you didn't eat Bulgogi"? That's a very Korean English mistake to make. |

Yeah, I played your doule-click trick, it sounded good.
I watched many times as well, although maybe not that many times as you did, hmmm however, I am more fascinated by his stage manners...
I especially like the leap he made at 1:28... Also the little kid at 3:02 was hilarious.
