Any comments on working at Seoul Theological Uni?
Good place to work?
Opportunity for professional development?
Micro-managed?
Restrictive environment?
Any thoughts appreciated.
Thank you. |

No thoughts on working there, but their posted salary was shockingly low. Worst in Seoul of those that require a Masters if I am not mistaken. |

The school is located in Bucheon, and they require a Master's degree in either English, Education, Applied Linguistics or TESOL. Their salary advertised 6 months or so ago was 27 million a year for 18 hours of teaching a week. Plus, you have to join their church, although I heard they aren't militant about making you attend services.
If you have a Master's, you can do better. (You can do better with a BA and a couple of years relevant experience.) Just up the road is Catholic University - not the greatest gig but certainly an improvement over anything Seoul Theological University has to offer - unless their employment conditions have greatly improved. Just my 20 won. |
