Today I bought a USB cable for my computer to transfer pictures from my cell phone. I plugged it in, and Windows Vista needed the CD, which of course I didn't have, so it redirected me to the LG site to download a component. I did that, and the driver device was installed, yet the drive won't show up on my computer.
I tried looking on LG's support website and other sites, but so far no answer.
Any other ideas? |

Your phone won't show up as a removable device - you need to download more software to get your computer to talk to it.
If your phone is supported by BitPim, that'll probably be your best option.
LG phones can use the LG Mobile Manager (for MP3s) and the Cyon Sync software (for pictures and messages). I only know of Korean versions of these, so they may be a little hard to use. |

Thanks for the info. How do I know if my phone is supported by BitPim?
I already downloaded this program from the LG website that windows directed me to:
LGUSBModemDriver_Eng_WHQL_Ver_4.9.4_All
But I don't know what it is! |
