I passed the interview for SMOE about a week ago and was about to send in my documents, but my recruiter said Rachel wants applicants to hold off until they (SMOE) finish up with a new sample contract.
Anyone else waiting on this? It took me a lot of time/money to gather these documents and I just want to get this whole thing over with. |

Sorry, no info.
Currently employed by SMOE, just renewed. Now I have an open class, etc.
If you're a new recruit you wont come to work until August/September anyway, so your contact or SMOE might just be waiting to see how many current teachers are not renewing. (I guess?) |

| I got hired by SMOE in April and I'm still waiting for the SMOE contract also. My recruiter said that SMOE will send the contract in May and I havent heard anything. So I emailed them about the status and my recruiter said that SMOE is working on the updated contract for 2009. So I have no idea when they will have the updated SMOE contract. I'm just patiently waiting. Hopefully they will send it soon. |

2009 contracts seem to be late this year across the board...
Everyone I know (myself included) who is re-signing for another year is still waiting for contracts
(Whereas as other posters have said, and from what I've heard, documents were out by the end of May last year...) |

yeah i got an official offer around two weeks ago. they sent me a contract but it was for the a feb 2009 start, so my recruiter said SMOE is gonna send me the updated contract. i haven't heard anything from them but glad to know i'm not the only one this has been happening to! hopefully i will see you all at the orientation  |
