Hey, has anyone ever thought of or done...
buy a round trip ticket to Korea, for less than a year, and then change the flight and pay the fee for changing it to a later date?
Round trip flights are always cheaper.
I think you only have to pay like 100$ to change a flight.
and if you get to keep what ever is left of the 1.3 won for flight... you'd pocket more money...
no?
could this work? drawbacks? |

Was never able to get a round trip ticket with over one year validity. If you do a runner it's possible but then it is at any time during your stay. |

couldnt you theoretically buy a round trip ticket for like 10 months ahead, and then change your return flight home to when you actually want to go home?
like book a April return, but then call the airline, pay the fee, and change it to July or something?
would this work? |

I'll admit I'm a bit more dopey than usual. Haven't been drinking coffee, that's my excuse. I'm missing something here though.
A renewal round trip from Korea is no problem. From your home country to Korea and then out again while completing a one year contract has been for me in the past. If you can get a 14 month ticket or something that'd be sweet. I haven't been able to book a ticket then change the return date to one year later even if I left a bit later. I would still have to fly to Korea do a year contract and try to leave on the same ticket within 12 months. Not possible. If it is though, please post how you did it. |
