Geez....which one of you would care to explain why my thread "If you are teaching illegal" was removed? I know you guys do not like to be called but, but I humbly beg you to have the decency to explain to me exactly where my thread violated the TOS

Gee, heaven forbid a Dave's poster want to relate a story to other posters. All the other folks here violating the TOS with their 1000 x 3000 profile pic, you complete ignorance to the "you cant even use special characters for profanity...for example... (f*** you Mods") yet you delete my thread and for what..

That's ok. I will take it right back to you. Rather than complain about your slow site, lack of a working search function, incomprehensible moderation, and generally slow server, I will take the complaint directly to your sponsor websites, and certainly express to them how myself, and many other, have left your site (and henceforth not clicked on their adds or used their service) specifically because the site is not well maintained, not well controlled, and not deserving of their advertising dollars.

The powers that may be are probably scanning. Overall, it just reflects poorly.

P.S. I really tried to make that statement incognito. After all, the powers may scan it over!!

It's probably more a reflection of the country we're living in than anything else. The autocratic, sometimes fascist tendencies of the country tend to influence the mods, who then follow suit. The best solution to this rancour is to have an ice box category and send offensive threads there. This forum really is a complete shambles. It reflects badly on the mods and the website. If they think making the forum clean and politically correct is going to win over more converts, they are naive. People post on here for a huge welter of reasons. Clamping down too tightly is going to alienate the more interesting, more creative posters who actually have something relevant to say. Why not start newby only forums, ice box forums? Or I have a better idea, totally revamp this whole cruddy forum once and for all.

Coral, you may be new, but it is very old policy that privates and second jobs are something that people with F visas deal with and post about on Dave's. The people you were addressing don't have F visas thus it's illegal. If they choose to do something illegal, though it may be common, it's not the policy of the forum to promote privates or second jobs for people on E-2 visas unless they are the E-2s who got the requisite permission to do so.

You're supposed to use the PM function if you have a concern, not post a thread regarding why something was pulled, so in future send a PM and ask.

Those who think that they are totality of the world, that the world revolves around them and think that if they as individuals leave, everyone else will, we can say that we maintain the TOS, and they can stick to that view if they so wish. We do welcome old-timers, newbies as long as they follow the TOS. Old-timers are an asset, because they can give vital info. to new people and help people out, but the ones who don't follow the TOS, new or old, we have to deal with that.

We are approachable, PM us.

Thank you,

'Rico

Personally, I am glad they have cut down on the crap that being posted on here. The users have to have some responibility. I always go by the rule, "Would I say something like that to a group of people I just met?" as to what I post. Some people on here post before thinking what effect their will have or they do it to just stir the pot.

It gets old reading the same 5 posters leaving the same "I would have punched the ajosshi right in the face." posts when in reality; they would have ran home (tail between their legs) and got right on Dave's to try and save their self-respect by gaining the "admiration" of the other Keyboard Warriors.

I always try to leave race, nationality and gender out of my posts. There is no need to single out any group of people or generalize that a whole country does something based on one individual. Try, "A guy on the subway was yelling into his fun," instead of "Damn rude Koreans, always screaming into thier phones." It is the same message without added cultural, racial labeling that is not needed.

So, good job Mods!! Keep up the good work.
