I've been to Daegu about 12 or so times since coming to Korea. I really enjoy it there and find it to be a pleasant enough city to live in if I had to. It's more central unlike Seoul and Busan. Everything is downtown and within walking distance. The subway is easy to use and transportation is good.
It's very hot in summer due to it being in a valley. Palgongsan Provincial Park is a great place to hike. It's on the outside of the city. The KTX runs to Seoul in 2 hours and Busan in 1 hour. It has most western conveniences that Busan and Seoul have.
All in all a great city and pretty central for travelling to other parts of the country. |
