I've heard of this, and it sounds wonderful. Has anyone tried some 오리갈비?? Any good places in Seoul to recommend?

It would just be 오리구이. There's`a great place near Dobongsan station. Has Jeju black pig, duck soup or roasted duck. 도봉산- 오리 숯불 회전구이 - 양주골 오리마을

No sir. Not a fan of 떡갈비 myself.

I heard somebody talk about this, he called it 오리갈비, not 구이. However, I think Xuanzang has the right of it. I'll check 'er out.

Well I've had ori many times and never been served the ribcages of the duck. Just pieces of duck meat like dalkgalbi or dwejigalbi sans ribs.

The best meal I had in Mokpo was roasted duck. The restaurant kept bringing more and more--I probably ate a kilo. Man, that was good.

Nowon has a really good roasted duck spot just off Nowon Culture Street. Tastes good but doesn't fill you up like 닭갈비 does, not as easy on the wallet either. Have a good time^^

You can get some awesome 오리탕 near Balsan Station (line 5). It is duck meat in a spicy 닭도리탕-type sauce with potatos and stuff. You can get some rice cake to throw in as well. Really good!!!

pocheon is "known" for duck, and i can attest that what a number of the restaurants up there offer exceptional stuff. although it's likely too far for you, an area on the border of pocheon and uijeongbu has a huge stretch of great duck restaurants. you need to head out of uijeongbu on rt. 43 and take a right at an intersection with a huge i-dong galbi restaurant on the right in the chukseok checkpoint area. after heading down a hill you'll find restaurants serving duck on the left and right.

there's also an 오리마울 up past jangam station (line 7) in uijeongbu that's pretty good.

Chill out. I was just stating what that restaurant served. You don`t like it then don`t eat it.

One of the BEST in Korea is called 또 오 리 and it is near the Hyehwa rotary.

If you walk out exit 4, go to the rotary. At the Woori bank, cross the street toward the Starbucks, then turn left when you get to the Starbucks. Take your first street right (after the Hyundai shop) and Ddo Ori will be on your right.

There is another good one in Hyehwa that has uses smoked duck which you then grill at the table. Go out exit 2 and walk past the park, take your first left down that one way street. A block or 2 down on the left you'll pass Di Matteo (Italian restaurant) and soon after is the duck place. There is a large yellow cat or something painted on the wall outside that signifies it.
