I'm curious if South Korea has any foreign banks. Can anyone list out the banks that they might have like the ones in America? Is there a Chase or Bank of America? This information will help me out in the near future. Thanks!

Standard Chartered, Citi Bank and HSBC......the latter 2 have very few branches unlike SC.

Other than SC there are no real advantages at all banking with the latter 2. they are not in any way governed by the same rules as with the banks back home so don't expect free bank transfers, favorable treatment etc even though you may bank with the same bank back home.

The best banks here are Standard Chartered (British bank, branches everywhere), and KEB (Korean bank but foreigner friendly)
