LCD oil splotch - what the hell is it?

So I bought a D2. Like it a lot and this wouldn't be an issue except for the fact I want to use the thing as an e-reader.

It seems to be purely cosmetic. It's an irregular circle with a couple of rings around it (sounds like im talking about a canker sore). If you press on the screen, the "circle" distorts and expands in that direction. It's like there's a bit of moisture or air trapped between the lcd and the "touch" film.

Will this dry out or should I get an exchange?
