Perhaps someone told him that the Japanese occupation is over and he decided to go back and wear his hair in a traditional Korean style that lasted for thousands of years before the Japanese made them cut it off.
That was a bit before the hippy time. You really need to learn more about Korean history, culture and traditions if you are going to be in their country. |
